Terms and Conditions

1. Dates/Terms/Eligibility:

The SATA Azores Airlines Specialist Program promotion begins May 10, 2022 and ends July 31, 2022. No purchase necessary. Eligible agents may enter by completing lessons of the online specialist program www.sataspecialist.com

The promotion is only open to eligible travel agents in Canada, with a valid IATA or TIDS number and who are in good standing with SATA Azores Airlines. Void where prohibited. Eligible travel agents must be legal residents of Canada and must be at least 18 years of age.

Odds of winning depend upon the number eligible entries received.

2. How to Enter:

GRAND PRIZE

All Modules completed by July 31, 2022 will be entered in the draw for one (1) ticket in economy class, draw to be made Aug 3, 2022. Each lesson completed equals one entry.

Grand Prize Winner
The Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of the Grand Prize is a total APR of $725CAD

SATA Azores Airlines Free Ticket T & C
Valid for S4 Azores Airlines operated flights from YYZ or YUL to the Azores return.
Eligible flights include Toronto-Ponta Delgada-Toronto (YYZPDLYYZ), Toronto-Terceira-Toronto (YYZTERYYZ), or Montreal-Terceira-Montreal (YULTERYUL).


MONTHLY PRIZE

All agents complete a Specialist Training lesson are eligible that month to win a $25CAD gift card. Two gift cards will be awarded each month.

Monthly Prize:
The Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of each monthly prize of a cash gift card is $25CAD. There will be 6 gift cards given away during the promotion. The total Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of all monthly prizes is $150CAD.
Winning entries for the monthly award will be returned to the pool for the Grand Prize.

All other expenses not specified herein with respect to the above prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners, including hotel tips and any other service or meal not specified in the prize, airport and hotel taxes, fees and surcharges which must be paid by credit card at time of ticketing.

Winners from Canada, The Travel Agency or individual agent may be asked to complete a W-8BEN form in order to receive their prize.

4. Prize Selection :

a. The Grand Prize winner will be chosen by a random drawing from all eligible entries received by July 31, 2022. Drawing for the Grand Prizes will be conducted on August 3, 2022
b. Drawing for the monthly prize, a $25CAD gift card, will be conducted monthly and will include entries completed from the first day of the promotion through the current last day of the month.
c. Agents must complete the SATA Azores Airlines Specialist Program lessons during the during the Promotion Period to be considered eligible for a prize. Odds of winning depend on the number of travel agents who have received an entry or entries into the grand prize drawing. Winner will be notified by e-mail and required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and Publicity form within ten (10) days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent to claim his/her prize. Noncompliance will result in disqualification and selection of alternate winners. All prizes and drawing for this Promotion will be conducted by Sponsor’s agent, Discover the World in Scottsdale, AZ (“Agent”), whose decision is final in all matters relating to the giveaways. If potential winners do not respond, Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner, or a potential winner is not in compliance with these Terms, prize will be forfeited, and at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate entrant may be notified.

5. Conditions :

In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Promotion is impaired in any way, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, or other technical problem, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Promotion to address the impairment and then resume the Promotion in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Terms; or (b) award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of impairment. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the operation of the Promotion, violates these Terms, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any person who seeks to undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion. Failure by Sponsor to enforce any term of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Proof of sending any communication to Sponsor by mail shall not be deemed proof of receipt of that communication by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute as to the owner of an entry, the authorized account holder of that code used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The Promotion is subject to federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

  1. You are entitled to one (1) free roundtrip ticket in Economy Class (AD00) from Toronto or Montreal to the Azores.
  2. Booking Period: Aug 3, 2022 – Nov 30, 2022, and must be at least 2 weeks prior to departure
  3. Ticketing Period: Aug 3, 2022- Dec 14, 2022
  4. Prize is not transferable to a third party, refundable in cash or transferable to other airlines. They cannot be sold, exchanged or extended after the expiration date nor are route changes allowed
  5. Airplane tickets are valid for travel by SATA Azores Airlines
  6. Tickets issued as part of this contract are special tickets that will have no cost except for the corresponding taxes. The respective taxes and fees that apply to these tickets must be fully assumed by the winner; SATA Azores Airlines does not assume the cost of taxes on these tickets
  7. SATA Azores Airlines is not responsible for the documentation, papers or identification that each passenger needs to travel
  8. This ticket does not provide for exemption of baggage or overweight discount
  9. No additional discounts apply to published rates. It cannot be used in conjunction with another promotion

Prizes or awards are non-transferable, and non-refundable. Cash or credit alternatives will not be offered. Prize winner and companion must travel together on all dates/flights and are responsible for all required travel documents (i.e.: valid passports, visas, inoculations, etc.). Winner must be a valid IATA or TIDS agent in good standing with SATA Azores Airlines at the time the prizes are awarded, at least 18 years of age and a legal U.S. or Canadian resident. Prize letters will be issued to the winners. Winner must make reservations and request tickets at least 30 days in advance of preferred departure date. Seats are capacity controlled and subject to availability at the time of booking. SATA Azores Airlines award letter will indicate validity date of prizes. SATA Azores Airlines condition of carriage shall apply to all air transportation. Award tickets are valid for economy Class of service SATA Azores Airlines. Upgrades are not permitted. SATA Azores Airlines is not responsible for the payment of government and airport taxes imposed by the city of origin or destination. Such taxes must be paid when the tickets are issued.
Blackout dates for each travel prizes are as follows:

Grand Prize :
Prize is valid until March 31, 2023. Blackout dates vary depending on the property and are subject to availability.
Blackout period:
Flights from Toronto (YYZ): Aug 17-Sep 10, 2022 and
Dec 10, 2022- Jan 10, 2023.

Flights from Montreal (YUL): Dec 10, 2022- Jan 10, 2023.

Due to limited number of seats available, travel may not be available on preferred travel dates. Travel is allowed on flights operated by SATA Azores Airlines. No travel is permitted on codeshare flights.

By participating in this promotion or the incentive awards, the winner or entrant grants the promoters permission to use their name and likeness for advertising and future promotional purposes without additional compensations (except where prohibited). Winners are liable for any tax liability accruing as a result of this promotion. This promotion is void where prohibited. Online entrants must have a valid e-mail address and it is the entrant's responsibility to update SATA Azores Airlines of any change in their e-mail address. No transfer, assignment or substitution of a prize is permitted by any winner. Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of SATA Azores Airlines, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this promotion.

6. Release and Limitations of Liability :

By participating in this promotion, all entrants grant the promoters permission to use their details for advertising and future promotional purposes. By participating in this Promotion, the winner grants the promoters permission to use their name and likeness for advertising and future promotional purposes without additional compensations (except where prohibited). Winners are liable for any tax liability accruing as a result of this Promotion. No transfer, assignment or substitution of a prize is permitted by any winner. Entrants agree to be bound by these Terms. By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Select Italy, its officers, directors, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in this Promotion, or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Promotion; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the Promotion or acceptance, receipt use or misuse of any prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties' liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Promotion, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney's fees. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, incidental, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. By entering this Promotion, entrants acknowledge that they have read and understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.

7. Winners' Names :

For the names of the prize winners, send a letter to the sponsor. Names of the winners will be sent when the promotion is over and prizes have been awarded. Requests for the names of the winners must be received by August 7, 2022.
